Grapes: 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Chianti Classico, Italy
Vinification: Merlot and Cabernet were vinified and aged separately in barriques and medium size Allier tonneaux for around 21 months. At the end of this process the blend was assembled.
VInification: Cabernet: 15 days, Merlot: 12 days
Controlled vinification at temperature of 28 degrees C.
Aging in barriques and tonneaux of Allier oak for 25 months
Bottle aging 12-18 months
Color: The wine features an extremely intense ruby-red color.
Aroma: It has an unusually complex bouquet with scents of cherries, red currants and various wild berries in association with vanilla and licorice tones.
Palate: The wine has a strong ‘mountain’ imprint which is both refined and mineral based. It has a big structure and great complexity, soft and velvety because of the richness and perfect maturation of the tannins found in the grapes.
