Vintage Summary: 2022 saw a cooler than average growing season that led to
extended ripening conditions and retention of natural acidity. As a result patience was required to wait for optimum harvest dates ensuring full flavour development and acid balance was reached Patience was rewarded with outstanding flavours and varietal
definition with exceptional quality.

Winemaking & Maturation: 7-10 day fermentation in stainless steel fermenters, temperature range between 22-28 degrees. Fermenters are pumped over routinely 6 times a day. Combination of French and American oak hogshead barrels for a minimum of 12 months.

Tasting Notes: Deep crimson red with ruby red hues, black cherry, liquorice and
leather aromas. The cherry notes carry through to the palate along
with hints of spice and dark chocolate. The tannins are soft and
velvety. Try pairing this with roasted Duck breast with pickled porcini mushrooms.
