Grape: Pinot Blanc

Wine region: Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada
Winery: Situated in the heart of the fabled “Golden Mile” of Oliver, BC our vineyard enjoys an enviable southwest bench location. With a total of 75 acres under vine, our winemaker Robert Summers, a 20 year veteran winemaker from Niagara, applies meticulous attention to every detail from vineyard to bottle. It is this dedication that allows us to produce award winning wines that are “Truly Remarkable” and 100% BC VQA.
Viticulture: Our estate vineyard includes 18 acres of Pinot Blanc, grown on well-drained soils with a high percentage of organic matter. Controlled drip irrigation maintains healthy vines which consistently produce extraordinarily vibrant and well-balanced fruit.
Winemaking: Winemaking focuses on gentle handling to preserve the integrity of the fruit: a very light pneumatic pressing, fermentation in stainless steel, minimal lees contact, no oak, and no malolactic fermentation.
Winemaker’s Comments: Hosting some of the estate’s oldest vines, our east-facing bench is exemplary for Pinot Blanc. Cooler late afternoons and nights bring about crisp acidity and fruit flavours. Fresh and ready to drink, this wine is perfect chilled for summer sipping or to pair with oysters in the winter. Fruity with green apple, peach, melon, and honey, the wine gives way to underlying balanced herbal notes.
Food Pairing: Enjoy this wine with local fare: fresh BC spot prawns in a bright lemon spaghetti, organic local roasted chicken with garden herbs, and fresh Pacific oysters on the half shell
