Blend: 85% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo, 5% Graciano – selected grapes from 35 years old vines coming from “Pago El Rincon”, located at own vineyard “Vina Lanciano”

Region: DO Rioja, Spain

Winery: The name LAN derives from the initials of the three provinces part of the DO Rioja: Logroño, Alava, Navarra.

Vineyard: Elaborated with grapes coming from old vines of Rioja

Vinification: Fermentation of destalked grapes took place under controlled temperature around 28ºC in stainless steel tanks on the first few days. Then it was macerated for 4 weeks in order to extract a good color from the skins. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak.

Ageing: 6 months in new French oak barrels and 4 months in new Russian oak casks, followed by 24 months in bottle.

Color: Intense and bright cherry color.

Aroma: Aromas of dark ripe fruit, blackberry, plum, blackcurrant

Flavor: Spice, coffee, chocolate and mineral hints result of the terroir in the vineyard, all surrounded by Ebro river.  Full in the mouth, intense and fleshy. Long, rich and persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Ideal partner for red meats and spicy dishes.
