Grape: Merlot 75%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Malbec 3%, Cabernet Franc 2%
Wine region: Bordeaux, France
Age of Vines: 40 years.
Soil: Slopes of limestone covered by 30 cm to 1 m of brown clay.
Aging: 12 months inside French oak barrels, 50% new barrels and 50% one year old barrels.
Winemaking: Cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration over an extended period to extract the aromas and give the wine all its strength.
Tasting Notes: The wine is perfectly balanced between fruit and oak tannins. The aromas of red and black fruits, raspberry, blueberry, cherry, grow richer with liquorice tones from merlot, spicy hints of dried wild herbs and mineral tones. Soft and creamy, exceptional concentration, fruity, round, rich, with a great long finish.
Food Pairing: Goes great with white and red meats, fleshy fish, cheese and pastries.
