The Campagnola Family turns its gaze towards the Abruzzo hills to enrich its wine properties, by purchasing the new ‘Podere Frontino’ Estate.
After the Valpolicella Classica, Lake Garda, and the Friulian vineyards, the idea of expanding into the lands of central Italy was born, and the choice fell on Bucchianico, a small town in the province of Chieti highly suited for wine production.
Here, the ‘Podere Frontino’ Estate comes to life: 6 hectares of beautiful hillside vineyards, with an average age of 10 years, dedicated to the cultivation of Montepulciano red grapes for the production of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Doc.
A choice, made by the Campagnola family that, thanks to the experience and knowledge acquired in over a hundred years of history, aims at maximizing the potential of the Teatino area, keeping alive the attention towards the search for quality and excellence.
Our vineyards extend over the sunny Bucchianico hills, on medium calcareous clay soils at an altitude of about 280 meters above sea level. They enjoy an ideal climate, with remarkable thermal excursions that determine optimal conditions for the accumulation of aromatic and polyphenolic substances in the clusters, giving rise to high quality grapes.
The selection of “Podere Frontino”, available immediately on the market, includes the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC and the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC Riserva.
