Winery: Noble Ridge is an estate vineyard and winery located in the Okanagan Valley. All work is done by hand, on- site by a team of dedicated workers who strive to create exceptional wine that reflects its noble namesake.
Viticulture: Merlot – clone 118 (planted in 1986), unknown (planted in 1999), Cabernet Sauvignon – unknown (planted in 1986, one of the oldest blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon in the valley. Trellis system: Geneva Double Curtain (GDC), Vertical shoot Position (VSP).
Winemaking: De-stemmed and crushed Fermentation kept between 25 °C and 28 °C – 15 months in French & American barrels: 75% French, 25% American; 40% new oak.
Tasting Notes: This voluptuous Meritage presents pleasing aromas of rich black fruit, tobacco, dark chocolate and a subtle earthiness. Flavours of cassis, licorice and spice are underpinned by well-integrated oak and a long finish. Firm tannins grace this wine with a cellaring potential of 8-10 years.
